How It Works
Free Site Survey & Design
Ady or a senior surveyor visits to check head height, rafters and load-bearing walls, discusses your layout and produces a quote. We can work from your architect’s plans or provide full architectural drawings.
Planning, Structural Work & Compliance
AWC handles planning submissions, party wall notices and building regulations applications, then installs steel beams, new joists or trusses as required while coordinating gas, plumbing and electrical trades.
Fit-Out, Finishing & Handover
We fit stairs, windows, insulation, fire-stopping, plastering and finishes, complete final inspections and hand over with a Completion Certificate plus our 10-year workmanship guarantee.

— FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Many loft conversions fall under permitted development, especially Velux conversions, but dormers or mansard roofs can require planning permission depending on size and street character. AWC will assess your property during the free survey and advise whether a planning application or a prior approval is needed, and can submit applications on your behalf.
