Who we are
AWC Loft Conversions is run by Adrian “Ady” Walker, who is a fully qualified carpenter with over 20 years’ experience in the building trade.
Ady manages a specialist team, and all members are experienced and qualified in their respective fields (as well as being Gas Safe and NICEIC registered). We enjoy forging personal-yet-professional working relationships with our clients, and a vast amount of our work is obtained through referrals.

What we do
Our expert team provides a full service, from a free initial site visit and survey – during which advice on all options is given – to the drawing up of architectural designs, planning applications, negotiations with local authority planning departments and final building inspection and completion certificate. We can also work with your own architects’ plans, or offer “shell-only” options.
We’re very proud of our extensive building experience, and our history in construction and design. This allows us to overcome some of the more complex problems associated with loft conversions in an effective and affordable way.
We also pride ourselves on our inspirational approach to design, and our ability to “think outside the box” – seeing beyond the traditional route to provide innovative, forward-thinking solutions.
In addition to loft-conversion work, we carry out a full carpentry service for both domestic and commercial clients.
Who we partner with
After many years of trading, we have a fantastic working relationship with many local councils’ Building Control departments, as well as a strong partnership with our own private building-control company who we consult throughout our projects.
We also work closely with our suppliers, keeping abreast of all new developments in materials and product ranges. We pay particular attention to ever-changing environmental issues, such as home insulation and renewable energy sources
